About Aratula
Aratula is a small rural town and locality in the Scenic Rim Region of Queensland, situated approximately 91 kilometres south-west of Brisbane and 52 kilometres south-south-west of Ipswich. The locality had a population of 609 at the 2021 Census and covers around 26 square kilometres of rolling pastoral and agricultural land at the western edge of the Scenic Rim. It lies 16 kilometres west of Boonah, the main service town for the Fassifern Valley, and is administered by the Scenic Rim Regional Council.
Aratula enjoys a setting among the scenic hills and valleys of south-east Queensland's Scenic Rim, a region celebrated for its natural beauty, national parks, and rural character. The town has a quiet, community-oriented feel with St Stephen's Anglican Church as a notable local landmark.
