Ballimore is a small rural village in the Orana region of New South Wales, situated approximately 31 kilometres north-east of Dubbo on the Golden Highway, and around 377 kilometres north-west of Sydney. It falls within the Dubbo Regional Council local government area and sits on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people. The village, which was formally proclaimed in 1916, recorded a population of 240 in the 2021 census and spans a large rural locality of approximately 229 square kilometres.
Ballimore's site is nestled near the confluence of the Talbragar River and Ballimore Creek, lending the area a quiet pastoral character typical of inland New South Wales.
