About Bannister
Bannister is a small rural locality in the Goulburn Mulwaree local government area of New South Wales, situated approximately 20 kilometres south of Crookwell and around 90 kilometres north-east of Canberra. The locality covers a large area of approximately 110 square kilometres of undulating tablelands, with a very small population of around 120 people recorded in the 2016 census. It was named after Saxe Bannister, a former Attorney-General of New South Wales.
