The town has a small township with a pub, service station, and basic community facilities, serving the surrounding agricultural district of grazing and cropping properties. The Bunya Highway passes through Bell, connecting it to Dalby to the south-west and Kingaroy to the north-east, making it a useful stopping point for travellers exploring the Bunya Mountains and Darling Downs hinterland.
