Blackfellows Caves is a small coastal locality in the District Council of Grant in South Australia's Limestone Coast region, situated approximately 37 kilometres south-west of Mount Gambier and within easy reach of the nearby coastal community of Carpenter Rocks. The locality covers around 14 square kilometres of coastal farmland and limestone terrain, and the 2021 Census recorded a population of 72 residents. The area takes its name from the striking limestone sea caves eroded into the coastal bluffs, which have long been a defining natural feature of this remote fishing settlement.
Blackfellows Caves is popular with recreational fishers and campers who are drawn to its rugged limestone coastline, offshore reefs teeming with southern rock lobster and line fish, and tranquil beaches flanking the rocky headland. The locality offers basic camping facilities, a boat ramp, and walking trails along the cliffs, while the beach on the eastern side of the outcrop provides a sheltered anchorage for small vessels.
