Breadalbane is a small rural locality in the Northern Midlands municipality of Tasmania, situated approximately 11 kilometres north-east of Longford and about 15 kilometres south of Launceston. With a population of around 103, it is a quiet residential area on the outskirts of greater Launceston. The locality was named by Governor Macquarie after the Earl of Breadalbane and was gazetted in 1959.
