About Brierfield
Brierfield is a small rural locality on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, situated in the Bellingen Shire approximately 5 kilometres west of Bellingen township along the Waterfall Way corridor. The locality covers around 52 square kilometres of Bellinger River valley farmland and adjacent ranges. With a population of 322 recorded at the 2021 census, Brierfield is a scattered semi-rural community set amongst the scenic hinterland between Coffs Harbour and the Dorrigo Plateau. It falls within the federal electorate of Cowper and the state electorate of Oxley.
Brierfield residents enjoy a relaxed hinterland lifestyle with easy access to the charms of Bellingen, one of NSW's most celebrated alternative-lifestyle towns known for its arts scene, markets, organic food culture and vibrant community.
