Bulart is a rural farming district in Victoria’s Western District, situated within the Southern Grampians Shire approximately 268 kilometres west of Melbourne. The locality covers a large area of 176 square kilometres of rolling pastoral country between the townships of Coleraine to the west and Cavendish to the east. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 104, up from 93 in 2016, spread across the district’s grazing properties and farmsteads.
The landscape around Bulart is dominated by sheep and cattle grazing country with views across the volcanic plains of the Western District. The nearby Mount Napier State Park offers bushwalking and the chance to explore Victoria’s most recent volcanic landscape, while the Bulart Silos feature eye-catching murals painted as part of the regional silo art trail.
