Charlemont is a fast-growing residential suburb in the Armstrong Creek urban growth corridor, located within the City of Greater Geelong approximately 8 kilometres south of Geelong's CBD. The suburb had a population of around 2,612 at the 2021 census — a significant jump from just 364 in 2016 — reflecting its status as one of Geelong's most active greenfield developments. With a median age of just 29, Charlemont is one of Victoria's youngest and most dynamic new communities.
Charlemont forms part of the broader Armstrong Creek estate, offering modern housing estates with parks, walking trails, and emerging local retail.
