The village sits at the intersection of the Portland–Hamilton Road, the Condah–Hotspur Lower Road and the Condah–Coleraine Road, serving as a modest crossroads in a pastoral landscape.
Condah has a rich heritage, with several 19th-century buildings still standing including the Condah Hall, two former churches and a historic dairy factory that once processed milk from surrounding farms. The nearby Lake Condah is a significant Aboriginal heritage site for the Gunditjmara People, featuring ancient aquaculture systems. The village is surrounded by open grazing land and is a short drive from the larger town of Hamilton for essential services, shopping and schools.
