Coolbellup is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located 15 kilometres south of the CBD within the City of Cockburn. With a population of 5,698 at the 2021 census and a median age of 37, it has undergone significant urban renewal in recent decades. The suburb takes its name from the Aboriginal Noongar word for nearby North Lake. Originally developed as public housing in the 1960s, Coolbellup has transformed into a diverse, multicultural community with a mix of social and private housing.
