About Crace
Crace is a modern, planned residential suburb in Canberra's Gungahlin district, established in 2009 and named after pioneer settler Edward Kendall Crace. With a population of approximately 4,800, it is one of Gungahlin's more mature newer suburbs and has grown rapidly with a strong emphasis on sustainable urban design. The suburb features an attractive town pond, open green corridors, and diverse housing stock including detached homes, townhouses, and apartments.
A local shopping centre at Flemington Road serves daily needs, and residents are within easy reach of Gungahlin Town Centre for a broader range of retail, dining, and entertainment. Crace is a popular choice for young families and first home buyers, with several parks, playgrounds, and the Crace Grassland Nature Reserve adding to its appeal. The Canberra light rail (Gungahlin to Civic) runs nearby, offering a convenient public transport connection to the CBD.
Crace falls under postcode 2911 and is governed by Unincorporated Council (LGA). For state elections, residents vote in the Yerrabi electorate.
