Dreeite is a rural locality in south-west Victoria, situated in the Colac Otway Shire approximately 170 kilometres south-west of Melbourne. Covering around 93 square kilometres, it is a sparsely populated farming area set among the rolling green hills between Colac and the Otway Ranges. The locality is characterised by dairy and beef cattle grazing, with a very small residential population living on large rural properties.
The regional centre of Colac, approximately 15 kilometres to the north-east, provides the main services including supermarkets, schools, hospitals, and community facilities. The Great Ocean Road and its spectacular coastal scenery lies to the south, making the broader Colac Otway region a popular destination for tourists.
