About Eradu
Eradu is a tiny rural locality in the Mid West region of Western Australia, situated approximately 25 kilometres south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Chapman Valley. With a population of just a handful of residents recorded in the 2021 census, it is one of the most sparsely populated localities in the state. The area covers around 41 square kilometres of flat to gently undulating agricultural land, characterised by wheat and sheep farming typical of the WA wheatbelt fringe.
Eradu and its surrounds offer a quiet, self-sufficient lifestyle typical of remote WA rural communities. The nearby town of Geraldton provides all major services including hospitals, schools, shopping centres, and a regional airport with connections to Perth. The locality is serviced by sealed roads to Geraldton, making it accessible for farming families who depend on the regional centre for daily needs.
