Ganmain is a small agricultural town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, located approximately 55 kilometres north-west of Wagga Wagga within the Coolamon Shire local government area. At the 2021 Census the town recorded a population of 793, serving as a quiet rural service centre for the surrounding farming country of the Canola Way corridor. The locality covers a large area of 440 square kilometres of flat Riverina plains, characterised by mixed farming including wheat, canola, and the hay production for which the town has become celebrated.

Ganmain is famously self-proclaimed as the 'Sheaf Hay Centre of Australia', a title reflected in the Big Haystack at Pioneer Park and a long history of supplying chaff and feed to leading racehorse trainers across the country. The town supports two primary schools — Ganmain Public School and St Brendan's Catholic Primary School — and a strong community sporting culture centred on Australian rules football, with the Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong team competing in the Riverina Football Netball League.
