Goolman is a small rural locality within the Ipswich City Council area in South East Queensland, located approximately 40 kilometres south of Ipswich and around 65 kilometres southwest of Brisbane. The locality covers around 21 square kilometres, with the vast majority of land comprising conservation reserve — notably the Lake Moogerah region — resulting in a very small permanent population.
