Guijar Islet is a tiny island in the Torres Strait, located in the far north of Queensland between the tip of Cape York and Papua New Guinea. Covering just 0.08 square kilometres, it is one of the many small islands and cays that make up the Torres Strait Islands group. The islet sits at latitude 9.58°S, making it one of the northernmost points of Australian territory, in tropical waters rich in marine life and coral reefs.
