Gumma is a small rural locality on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, situated in the Nambucca Valley approximately 5 kilometres south-west of Macksville and within the Oxley state electorate. Covering 29.2 square kilometres of river flat and hinterland farming country, the locality recorded a population of 486 at the 2021 census, comprising a mix of farming families and rural lifestyle residents. The surrounding landscape features the productive floodplains of the Nambucca River system, which supports dairy farming, beef cattle, timber and market gardening. The locality's flat river country and established rural character make it a quiet and scenic part of the lower Nambucca Valley.
