Jinghi is a sparsely populated rural locality in the Western Downs Region of Queensland, situated approximately 62 kilometres east-north-east of Chinchilla and 77 kilometres north of Dalby. Covering a vast 211 square kilometres, it has a tiny population of around 70 residents scattered across farming properties in the Darling Downs hinterland. The landscape consists of broad agricultural plains with grazing land and cropping paddocks typical of the Western Downs, sitting at elevations between 340 and 470 metres above sea level. Jinghi falls within the Callide state electorate and the Division of Maranoa federally.
