About Joondalup
Joondalup is a major suburban centre located approximately 26 kilometres north of the Perth CBD in Western Australia. With a population of around 9,200, it serves as the primary urban hub for Perth's outer northern suburbs. The suburb has a median age of 39 and is predominantly English, Australian and Irish in ancestry. It functions as both a residential area and a significant commercial, educational and healthcare precinct within the City of Joondalup.
The suburb is home to Edith Cowan University, Joondalup Health Campus (set to become WA's largest hospital), and Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City. Known as WA's cyber capital, it hosts the largest cyber talent pipeline and research centre in Australia.
