About Kwinana Town Centre
Kwinana Town Centre is the civic and commercial heart of the City of Kwinana, located in the outer southern suburbs of Perth approximately 35 kilometres south of the CBD. With a small resident population of around 567, the suburb spans less than one square kilometre yet packs in significant community infrastructure. The area is bounded by neighbouring suburbs Calista, Orelia, Parmelia, and Wellard, forming the hub of the wider Kwinana region.
The suburb is home to the Kwinana Marketplace shopping centre, Kwinana Recreation Centre, the Kwinana Aquatic Centre, and the City of Kwinana Council Chambers. The nearby Koorliny Arts Centre provides cultural and performing arts facilities for the broader community. Kwinana's industrial heritage gives the region a working-class character, with families and tradespeople drawn by relatively affordable housing and proximity to industrial employment along Cockburn Sound.
Kwinana Town Centre falls under postcode 6167 and is governed by the local council Council (LGA). For state elections, residents vote in the Kwinana (South Metropolitan) electorate.
