Leafdale is a small rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, situated in the hinterland approximately 200 kilometres north-west of Brisbane. The locality covers around 15 square kilometres of undulating farming and grazing land typical of the South Burnett district, with a population of just 12 residents recorded in the 2021 Census. Leafdale lies within a pastoral and mixed-farming area, with the nearest major township being Kingaroy, the regional centre of the South Burnett.

The lifestyle in Leafdale is quiet and rural, with residents engaged in grazing, cropping, or small-scale agriculture on their rural properties. The South Burnett region is known for its peanut farming, viticulture, and friendly country communities, and Leafdale shares this broad agricultural identity.
