Lithgow is a historic city in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, nestled in a mountain valley about 150 kilometres west of Sydney on the western edge of the Blue Mountains. With a population of around 4,956 in the suburb proper (and about 20,000 in the wider urban area), it serves as the administrative centre of the City of Lithgow.
