Lock is a small town in the centre of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, situated within the District Council of Elliston approximately 606 kilometres west of Adelaide and 146 kilometres north of Port Lincoln. The town serves as the main grain storage hub for central Eyre Peninsula, surrounded by a predominantly farming community with a strong emphasis on cereal crop production. With a 2021 Census population of 253 residents, Lock is a quiet, close-knit rural community at the heart of one of South Australia's most productive agricultural regions.
