Merrigum is a small town in the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria, situated within the City of Greater Shepparton local government area approximately 197 kilometres north of Melbourne, 30 kilometres west of Shepparton, and 14 kilometres south-east of Kyabram. With a population of 679, the town covers around 56 square kilometres of flat irrigated farmland typical of the northern Victorian plains.
