About Mount Beppo
Mount Beppo is a rural locality in the Somerset Region of South East Queensland, approximately 68 kilometres north-west of Brisbane. With a population of 251 residents, the area covers nearly 50 square kilometres of farming land and bush, with the Brisbane River forming its north-eastern boundary. The locality has a low-density, agricultural character typical of the Somerset hinterland, and falls under the Somerset Regional Council.
The Brisbane Valley Highway runs to the west of the locality, providing the main road connection to Brisbane and nearby towns such as Esk and Kilcoy. Mount Beppo takes its name from a neighbouring mountain peak and the surrounding district retains a quiet, rural atmosphere with acreage properties, cattle grazing, and bushland. Residents rely on their own vehicles for daily needs, with services available in Esk (roughly 25 km away) or Fernvale to the south.
Mount Beppo falls under postcode 4313 and is governed by the local council Council (LGA). For state elections, residents vote in the Nanango electorate.
