Mount Delaney is a small rural locality in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, situated approximately 12.6 kilometres south-west of Woodford and 85 kilometres north-north-west of Brisbane CBD in the D'Aguilar Range hinterland. The locality covers 14.9 square kilometres of subtropical hinterland and recorded a population of 80 at the 2021 census, comprising lifestyle farmers and rural-residential residents drawn to the locality's elevated, forested character. Mount Delaney sits within the Somerset Region's rural fringe, where the D'Aguilar Range's forested escarpment meets the patchwork of hobby farms and acreage properties that define this attractive corner of south-east Queensland. The area's road infrastructure includes Rasmussen Road and connections into the Woodford and Kilcoy districts.
Mount Delaney offers a peaceful hinterland lifestyle with easy access to Caboolture's urban services and, further south, the full amenities of the Moreton Bay and Brisbane regions.
