About Nambrok
Nambrok is a small rural locality in the Latrobe City local government area in the Gippsland region of Victoria, situated approximately 180 kilometres south-east of Melbourne CBD between the towns of Rosedale and Sale. Covering around 67 square kilometres of predominantly agricultural land, the locality recorded a population of 280 at the 2021 Census. The area takes its name from the historic Nambrok homestead and rural property that was once one of the significant pastoral landholdings in central Gippsland.
Nambrok is characterised by rich Gippsland farmland, with grazing and mixed farming the dominant land uses across the locality. Residents have access to services in the nearby towns of Rosedale and Sale, the latter being the main regional centre for the Wellington Shire with schools, hospitals, and shopping. The Gippsland Lakes, Ninety Mile Beach, and the Alpine foothills are all within reach, giving the area genuine appeal for those seeking a rural Gippsland lifestyle surrounded by productive farmland and natural amenity.
