Nanango is a rural town and locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, situated approximately 190 kilometres north-west of Brisbane at the junction of the D'Aguilar and Burnett highways. At the 2021 Census, the locality had a population of 3,679 people. Nanango is the administrative centre of the South Burnett Regional Council and serves as a commercial hub for the broader agricultural district. The town sits at an elevation of 368 metres on the southern edge of the South Burnett, surrounded by rolling farmland and state forests.
