Natimuk is a small rural town in western Victoria, located approximately 300 kilometres north-west of Melbourne and 27 kilometres west of Horsham, within the Rural City of Horsham council area. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 548 for the locality, with a median age of 55, reflecting a predominantly established community of long-term residents and sea-changers. The town has historically served as a rural service centre for the surrounding grain and sheep farming lands of the Wimmera region.
Natimuk has earned a distinctive reputation as the gateway to Mount Arapiles, located 10 kilometres to the west, which is widely regarded as one of Australia's premier rock climbing destinations and draws enthusiasts from around the world.
