North Tumbulgum is a small riverside locality in the Tweed Shire of northern New South Wales, situated near the confluence of the Rous River (North Arm) and the Tweed River, approximately 15 kilometres north of Murwillumbah and 20 kilometres south of Coolangatta. With a population of 238 at the 2021 Census, the locality covers around 14 square kilometres of low-lying riverfront and rural land set against the dramatic volcanic backdrop of Wollumbin (Mount Warning) and the Border Ranges. The area is accessible via the Tweed Valley Way from Murwillumbah or the scenic ridge drive via Tweed Heads.
