About Renmark
Renmark is a regional town in the Riverland region of South Australia, situated on the banks of the Murray River approximately 255 kilometres northeast of Adelaide. With a population of around 4,700 and a median age of 44, it is the largest town in the Renmark Paringa council area. The community is predominantly Australian-born with significant Greek, Indian, and Afghan-born populations reflecting its agricultural workforce diversity. Renmark has a rich multicultural heritage tied to its irrigation farming history.
As a major service centre for the Riverland, Renmark offers essential amenities including the Renmark Shopping Centre (with Woolworths), schools, a hospital, and sporting facilities along the river.
