About Rothwell

Rothwell is a residential suburb in the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland, located on the Redcliffe Peninsula approximately 28 kilometres north of Brisbane's CBD. Part of the Kippa-Ring corridor, Rothwell is served by its own train station, making it one of the better-connected northern suburbs in the outer metropolitan area. With a population of around 7,500 residents, the suburb has grown steadily as families and first-home buyers seek affordable housing with good transport links.

Rothwell's street network is dotted with parks — covering roughly 17% of the suburb's total area — giving families plenty of green space for outdoor activities. The suburb is close to the Redcliffe Peninsula's beaches and the Westfield North Lakes shopping centre is just a short drive away. The community has a friendly, family-oriented feel, with a mix of established residents and newer arrivals drawn by the rail connection and relative affordability compared to inner Brisbane.

Rothwell falls under postcode 4022 and is governed by Moreton Bay Council (LGA). For state elections, residents vote in the Murrumba electorate.
