Triamble is a tiny rural locality in the Central West region of New South Wales, situated within the Mid-Western Regional Council area near Kandos and Rylstone. Covering approximately 254 square kilometres of plateau and creek country, it is one of the more remote localities in the Central Tablelands. The 2021 census recorded a population of just 12 residents, with the community largely based around pastoral and grazing activities on large rural properties. The locality falls within the federal electorate of Calare and the state electorate of Upper Hunter.
Triamble is embedded in the scenic landscapes of the Kandos district, with undulating farmland, sandstone escarpments, and tributaries of the Cudgegong River characterising the area. The nearby Kandos and Rylstone townships provide limited local services, while Mudgee, approximately 60 kilometres to the north, offers a broader range of shops, schools, healthcare, and the celebrated Hunter Valley–adjacent wine and dining scene. The area attracts bushwalkers, fossickers, and those seeking remote rural lifestyle properties with artistic heritage, as the Kandos district has a long tradition of arts and community festivals.
