Wallangra is a small rural locality in the Gwydir region of northern New South Wales, located approximately 70 kilometres north-west of Inverell near the Queensland border. The locality covers an expansive 397 square kilometres of semi-arid grazing country and had a population of 93 at the 2021 census. The area is characterised by open plains, scattered timber, and properties used primarily for wool, beef cattle, and grain production on the northern tablelands.
