Wulkuraka is a small western suburb of Ipswich in South East Queensland, approximately 40 kilometres west of Brisbane. With a population of around 1,325, it covers 3.8 square kilometres and has a working-class character shaped by its railway heritage. The suburb is bisected by the Main Line railway, which has been central to its identity since the 1880s when it served as the junction for the Brisbane Valley railway line.
