Argalong is a rural locality in the Snowy Valleys region of southern New South Wales, located approximately 30 kilometres southeast of Tumut. Spanning around 132 square kilometres, it is a sparsely populated area in the western foothills of the Snowy Mountains, within the Snowy Valleys Council area. The locality sits along the Goobarragandra River valley, surrounded by a mix of cleared pastoral land and native forest.
Argalong is known for its scenic beauty, with the Goobarragandra River providing excellent trout fishing and swimming holes popular with locals and visitors.
