Hester is a small rural locality in the South West region of Western Australia, situated approximately 7 kilometres north of Bridgetown and around 270 kilometres south of Perth. Named after Edward Godfrey Hester, one of the earliest European settlers in the Bridgetown district in the late 1850s, Hester was gazetted as a townsite in 1899 as a siding on the Donnybrook to Bridgetown railway.
