Kureen is a small rural locality in the Tablelands Region of Queensland, nestled in the Atherton Tablelands approximately 12 kilometres north-east of Malanda and within easy reach of Atherton. The locality covers around 10 square kilometres, with the Johnstone River forming its south-eastern boundary and the Malanda–Atherton Road defining its south-western edge. The 2021 Census recorded a population of 158, and Kureen falls within the federal electorate of Kennedy and the state electorate of Hill, reflecting its position in the agriculturally rich tablelands of Far North Queensland.
