Millfield is a small rural town in the City of Cessnock local government area in New South Wales, located approximately 12 km south-west of Cessnock in the Hunter Valley. With a population of around 1,000, it sits at an elevation of 110 metres amid rolling farmland. The town has a long history dating back to the 1850s, with the Millfield Post Office opening in 1854.
