Shannonvale is a small rural locality in the Douglas Shire of Far North Queensland, situated approximately 10 kilometres south-west of Mossman and around 75 kilometres north of Cairns. Covering around 85 square kilometres, the locality is bounded to the north by the Captain Cook Highway and the Mossman–Mount Molloy Road to the north-east. With a 2021 Census population of 194, Shannonvale is a sparsely settled agricultural area under the Douglas Shire Council local government area.
The locality is dominated by sugarcane farming, with a cane tramway network connecting fields to the Mossman Sugar Mill. The surrounding Douglas Shire landscape is spectacular, with the Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef within easy reach and the Coral Sea coast a short drive away.
