West Wyalong is the principal town of Bland Shire in the northern Riverina region of western New South Wales, sitting at an elevation of 262 metres approximately 467 kilometres west of Sydney. At the 2021 Census the town had a population of 3,037, making it the main service and commercial centre for a vast surrounding agricultural district. The town developed during the 1890s gold rush and retains a number of heritage buildings from that era.

West Wyalong offers a full range of regional services including a hospital, supermarkets, schools, and sporting facilities befitting a rural service town. The community has a strong agricultural identity built on grain cropping and sheep farming across the Bland plains. Residents enjoy a relaxed country lifestyle with access to the Wyalong Racecourse, local clubs, and the historic main street precinct along the Newell and Mid-Western Highways.
