About Brymaroo
Brymaroo is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, situated approximately 61 kilometres north-west of Toowoomba and 189 kilometres west of Brisbane. With a population of 128 residents in the 2021 Census spread across a large area of almost 115 square kilometres, it is a sparsely populated agricultural community on the Darling Downs, the fertile farming plains that characterise this part of inland south-east Queensland. The locality lies within the federal Division of Groom and the state electorate of Condamine.
Brymaroo carries a notable piece of local history: the site of the World War II era Brymaroo Aerodrome, which was used as a military training facility and now serves as an Army Aviation practice area. The broader Darling Downs landscape provides excellent conditions for dryland cropping and grazing, shaping the agricultural identity of the community. Toowoomba, the region's major centre, offers shopping, education, healthcare, and transport links, while Dalby provides a closer service hub to the west.
Brymaroo falls under postcode 4403 and is governed by the local council Council (LGA). For state elections, residents vote in the Condamine electorate.
