Haasts Bluff, also known by its traditional name Ikuntji, is a remote Aboriginal community in Central Australia, located approximately 230 kilometres west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Situated within the MacDonnell Regional Council area, the community is home to Western Arrernte, Pintupi, and Pitjantjatjara peoples and had a population of 82 residents at the 2021 Census. The locality spans around 5.8 square kilometres and sits in the striking landscape of the West MacDonnell ranges, with the prominent Haasts Bluff sandstone outcrop dominating the nearby horizon.
Haasts Bluff is home to Ikuntji Artists Aboriginal Corporation, founded in 1992 as the first art centre established by women in the Western Desert Art Movement, and is internationally recognised for its vibrant paintings and textiles. The community has a primary school, health centre, women's centre, and a community store serving its residents. Access to broader services such as hospitals, major shopping, and secondary education requires travel to Alice Springs, typically by the twice-weekly Centre Bush Bus service or private vehicle along the Namatjira Drive.
