Blueys Beach is a picturesque coastal locality in the Pacific Palms area of New South Wales, situated approximately 290 kilometres north of Sydney near Forster-Tuncurry. The beach stretches for around 975 metres and is flanked by dramatic headlands on either end, backed by steep, vegetation-covered hills up to 216 metres high. With a population of around 242 residents (2021 census), the community has a tight-knit character centred on its renowned surf beach and natural surroundings. The locality falls within the Division of Lyne and the state electorate of Myall Lakes.
Blueys Beach is celebrated as one of the premier surf breaks in the Great Lakes region, drawing experienced surfers from across NSW thanks to its consistent swells and powerful waves. The beach is unpatrolled and rated moderately hazardous, making it best suited to confident ocean swimmers and surfers. During the Christmas and summer holiday periods, thousands of visitors flock to the area, significantly boosting the local population. Nearby beaches including Boomerang Beach and Elizabeth Beach offer calmer, patrolled alternatives, while Forster-Tuncurry about 25 kilometres away provides comprehensive retail, dining, and healthcare facilities.
