About Coconuts
Coconuts is a small coastal locality in the Cassowary Coast Region of Far North Queensland, situated approximately 7 kilometres south-east of Innisfail and around 90 kilometres south of Cairns. The locality is bounded to the south by the Johnstone River and to the south-east by the Coral Sea, and falls under the Cassowary Coast Regional Council. Coconuts offers a laid-back tropical coastal lifestyle with proximity to the Coral Sea and the scenic Johnstone River estuary. Coconut Point, a headland at the northern mouth of the river, gives the locality its name and provides a scenic vantage point over the coast.
