Gemmells is a small locality in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, nestled between Mount Barker and Strathalbyn in the Alexandrina Council area, approximately 55 kilometres south-south-east of Adelaide. In the 2021 census, it recorded a population of 99 residents across roughly 12 square kilometres of hilly Adelaide Hills terrain. The locality lies along the historic Victor Harbor railway line and was named after Thomas Gemmell, an early settler and pastoralist in the area.
